WWE Day 1: Every Match Ranked From Worst To Best

1. The Usos Vs. New Day

Anyone who reads this writer's work regularly will know just how much he adores a good opening tag-team match on pay-per-view. That's not why The Usos vs. New Day snagged the top spot here though. They grabbed it because of the slow-burn style they deployed and because they had some clever call-backs to earlier matches.

Jimmy and Jey trying to re-injure Kofi's knee was a neat touch, for example.

Even more impressively, it feels like these guys can still produce better. Imagine that. Imagine working the best match on pay-per-view but...it's still not your absolute best. The Usos, Woods and Kingston can have solid bouts in their sleep, to be fair.

The finishing sequence to this one upped the pace to frantic levels, and the live crowd were there for it. Atlanta loved the near falls so much that they broke out the familiar "This Is Awesome" chant multiple times; yes, that's a bit overdone now, but it's a surefire sign that people were into the action.

Don't sleep on this match if you like top tag wrestling.
