WWE Didn't Know About This Sneaky 'Escape The Undertaker' Scene On Netflix

Director Ben Simms didn't get clearance from WWE for one of Big E's scenes.

Anyone sitting on the fence should know that WWE's interactive 'Escape The Undertaker' horror on Netflix is worth checking out, especially with young children. There are also loads of little Easter eggs hidden away in the 30-minute journey too, but not all of them got WWE's approval.

You read that correctly.

Director Ben Simms told Screen Crush that one scene in particular only happened at all due to Big E's ad-libbing - impressed, Simms encouraged the New Day man to roll with it. Meanwhile, nobody thought to actually ask WWE what their future plans were or if it'd be alright to include the line.

At one point, viewers can follow E into a curtained-off room in pursuit of 'Taker's urn. In there, the current WWE Champion sees a number of World Championships on some shelves, smiles and says, "Oh, I need me one of these".

According to Simms, nobody on set knew that WWE would be crowning E WWE Champ before the movie was released on Netflix. It was just one of those moments that Big E improvised after seeing the belts in the corner of the room.

WWE didn't know that would be happening either.
