WWE Draft 2017: 10 Trades To Expect

4. Seth Rollins To SmackDown

Speculation suggests that despite the limited number of deals on offer, several big names will be on the move next week. Roman Reigns has been mentioned, but this looks unlikely at the moment, particularly as he’s expected to challenge for Brock Lesnar’s Universal Title in the near future. Instead, his former Shield brother Seth Rollins looks like a stronger candidate to head to SmackDown, and there’s already heavy speculation that he’ll be one of the first names on the trading block.

Raw are short on top babyfaces at the moment, but Finn Balor’s return pushes Rollins down the pecking order. The Irishman, Reigns, and Braun Strowman are far likelier title contenders at this point, leaving Seth with little else to do aside from making the jump to Tuesday nights.

The Architect will likely be packaged as part of one of the night’s biggest trades, and him joining SmackDown will help fill the void left by John Cena’s impending hiatus. The blue brand is in desperate need of another top face at the moment: Rollins can absolutely become that guy, and he’d never be far from the WWE Title during his time on SD.
