WWE Draft 2019: 10 Things That Need To Happen

To quote George Orwell's Animal Farm classic, "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others".

This newspeak babble was designed to reflect the ruthless truth of how things work at the top. It's no different in WWE land. To them, and to Vince McMahon, certain superstars carry more weight than others, and that's why they'll be nearer the top of the list when Draft sheets are thrashed out and the promotion decide who's going where.

In 2016, Charlotte Flair was the third overall pick and recent megastar Becky Lynch was drafted 14th overall behind the likes of Sami Zayn, Finn Bálor and AJ Styles. That will not happen this year. In fact, there's a good chance Becky will be the top pick out of the hat and the single most desirable name for each brand to compete for.

This would cap a fine year for Becky. She's been on magazine covers, video game boxes, headlined WrestleMania and been presented as a key part of WWE since 2019 began. If she's identified as the Draft's top star, then it'll be another feather in her cap.
