WWE Elimination Chamber 2014: 7 Things WWE Did Right

7. Advertising For WWE Network

Did you know who sponsored Elimination Chamber? WWE Network. They really did an excellent job of promoting the Network. What I don't understand is why they barely promoted it on Raw last week since more people watch Raw than a PPV. Obviously a PPV is a bigger show in theory, but you would think they would have shilled it more on Raw last week. One aspect that I didn't like was showing Lawler watching the WWE Network on his iPad and then JBL watching it on his laptop. Fans are paying money to watch Elimination Chamber, which was essentially a couple of old guys watching old shows. Considering how big of a deal WWE Network is, it was smart for WWE to promote the hell of it. We can likely expect more of the same on Raw, Smackdown and pretty much every show they have for the foreseeable future. Fans are experiencing WWE Network today. There are likely going to be some issues with it getting rolled out, but for the most part it's a positive for the wrestling business.
