WWE Elimination Chamber 2014: 7 Things WWE Did Right

6. Quality Heel Wins For O'Neil And The New Age Outlaws

The breakup of the Prime Time Players was something that came out of nowhere, but it was done to give a heel push to Titus O'Neil. We saw that at Elimination Chamber as he beat Darren Young in a singles match. Was the match great? Far from it. It was very average. However, the decisive win was impressive and hopefully O'Neil continues to improve in all aspects to justify the push he's receiving. As for the New Age Outlaws, they proved that their Tag Team Title win at the Royal Rumble was not a fluke and that they'll be able to keep the titles for a little bit longer at least. It seems like the Usos will get the tag titles at some point (WrestleMania makes a lot of sense), but I had no problem with the Outlaws going over the way they did. There was even an old heel trick by Gunn when he held onto the tights for the pin. That's the way to do it. It can lead to a rematch or perhaps a multi-team match down the road.
