WWE Elimination Chamber 2014: 7 Things WWE Did Right

2. Big Spots In The Elimination Chamber Match

Elimination-Chamber-1285142 The Elimination Chamber match was very good for the most part. They let all six guys have their moments to "shine" in the sense that they all looked dominant at various points. What was also cool was that there were so many memorable spots that gave different people the chance to stand out too. - When Orton tried to hide in the pod after he entered the ring, he thought he outsmarted everybody. Nope. Sheamus destroyed him with a Brogue Kick into the pod that went crashing into Orton. Great idea for a spot. - Christian's splash off the top of the pod to eliminate Sheamus (the first elimination of the match) was also really well done. It's not an easy move to do in an environment. To see the oldest guy in the match try that (Christian is 40 years old) is a testament to his ability to put his body on the line in what could be the last main event match of his career. - There were many Cesaro moments that were great, but my favorite was when Cena had Bryan on his shoulders ready for the Attitude Adjustment and Cesaro gave Cena a German Suplex that also sent Bryan flying. It was an innovative spot that few people could pull off. Since Cesaro has superhuman strength he made it work. The ending of the match was memorable thanks to the interference from the Wyatt Family causing Cena to lose and also Kane deliberately costing Bryan as well. It's hard to do an Elimination Chamber match. The steel hurts. The confines around the wrestlers are not natural. They made it work. It was an enjoyable match.
