5. Randy Orton Vs. Luke Harper
Could Luke Harper be one of SmackDown’s biggest breakout stars in 2017? He’s always been one of WWE’s best big men, and it looks like he’s going to strike out on his own following his ejection from the Wyatt Family. Harper got an excellent reception while siding with John Cena last week, and could use Elimination Chamber as a springboard to singles success.
Across from him stands Randy Orton, the Wyatt Family’s snake in the grass. The Royal Rumble winner’s apparent plan to destroy the Wyatts from within started by eroding Bray’s trust in Harper, and that’s the reason for this match. Harper was always skeptical of Orton’s allegiances and paid the ultimate price for it, but he has stuck to his guns throughout, and him winning wouldn’t sit well with Bray.
There’s very little chance of that happening, however. Orton will challenge for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 33, and must be kept strong in the build-up. He defeated his old rival John Cena earlier this week, and will likely put Harper away on Sunday night. Regardless of the result, this should be an excellent exhibition between one of WWE’s biggest stars and the vastly underrated Harper.
