WWE Elimination Chamber 2018: 9 Things WWE Got Right

1. Keeping Ronda Rousey Out Of The Women's Title Picture

This fan cannot tell you how relieved he is that Ronda Rousey won't wrestle for either the Raw or SmackDown Women's Titles at WrestleMania. There's no guarantee that Rousey, top level MMA fighter or not, will become an elite-level female pro wrestler, so it's wise to let her bed into WWE before going all in.

A mixed tag-team match against major names like Triple H and Stephanie McMahon is the best use of Ronda in April. Positioning her alongside Kurt Angle is similarly smart; by selling the "real athlete" parallels between Rousey and Angle, as well as having Kurt talk up how impressive Ronda is in the media, WWE will only give their new signing a boost.

It's great to see a company known for rushing these days take it slow and realise Rousey needs to settle. There's time to make her Women's Champ, and it's bright of WWE to give her feud (one that started three years ago) with Steph and Triple H some closure first.
