The women of WWE got to show what they can do in a new match type again.

The last few years have been massive for women's wrestling. Hell in a Cell epics, Iron Woman matches, Royal Rumble spotlight and now Elimination Chamber. Let's hope this is the last "first ever" hype for a while when it comes to WWE's females though, because they do deserve to just get on with things.

Opening the show with the women's Chamber was the right call from creative. The pop that went up from the Las Vegas crowd when the match graphic showed on the tron was indicative of how much fans are enjoying the division. Kicking things off with one of the two Chamber matches also set the tone for the rest of the night.

Bonus points to WWE for making sure to lay the match out logically too. Seeing opportunist Alexa's face fall when Mickie James was eliminated and she was faced with the prospect of wrestling both Sasha Banks and Bayley was brilliant stuff.
