WWE Elimination Chamber 2019: 10 Things It Got Right

4. Showing Some House Show Footage

The old-schooler in this fan loved the way WWE used house show footage to sell Becky Lynch as a renegade bad ass. The decision to air the end of Charlotte Flair's match with Asuka on the live tour made non-televised events seem more important than they are these days.

WWE should do more of that.

The vibe that "anything can happen" is one that has diminished over the years in this company. That's partly why Becky is so over. She, more so than any other character on the roster, has an air of devilment to her, and her unpredictability makes her more exciting. This brawl with Flair, filmed away from Raw, SmackDown or pay-per-view, sold that.

OK, so WWE business is hardly struggling anyway, and it's not like their brand doesn't sell. Even so, the thought that something totally unique could happen in your town makes these house shows a more attractive proposition.
