WWE Elimination Chamber 2019: 10 Things We Learned
1. There's Merit To A Shock Kofi Kingston Title Reign In 2019
Kofi Kingston has gone from pancake-throwing, booty-shaking, smiling comedy character to legit WWE Title contender in just one week. His performance on last Tuesday's SmackDown changed the game, and people have sympathy with his decade-plus-long journey to become World Champ.
If we're to assume WWE have someone in mind to challenge Daniel Bryan at 'Mania already, then Kofi's moment will have to wait. Note the wording there. Wait.
There's reason to believe Kofi could capture his first WWE Title win in 2019. He's on fire right now, delivering the kind of matches fans are drooling over, and promos alongside his New Day buddies Xavier Woods and Big E have become a regular YouTube highlight.
When WWE are seeking rivals for Bryan in May, June and July, they should remember how ably Kofi has filled in for the injured Mustafa Ali over the past seven days. A story showing his rise to prominence and eventual capture of a life-long dream sounds almost as tasty as the pancakes he's prone to carrying around.
