WWE Elimination Chamber 2023: 10 Things That Must Happen

3. Sami Zayn Comes Agonisingly Close, But...

WWE Elimination Chamber 2023 Roman Reigns Sami Zayn Cody Rhodes

At first, this article almost seriously suggested that Sami Zayn win the Undisputed WWE Universal Title and end Roman's peerless run on top. That's how epic the ex-Bloodline man's story arc has been, but realism bites hard when one realises there's no way it's going to happen.

Reigns is headlining WrestleMania. It's ironclad.

Does this mean Sami will be relegated to tag-team action and nothing else come the big April weekender? No, not at all. If anything, WWE can use events at Chamber to set wheels in motion for Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes to become a Triple Threat treat. Yep, you're reading that one just fine.

Reigns' minions in The Bloodline can effectively cost Zayn his chance as Rhodes shakes his head in the skybox. He'd walk away in disgust at more typical Roman tactics, but know he can't care for Sami when huge riches await him at 'Mania.

That wouldn't be the only storyline wrinkle to toy with on Saturday either.
