WWE Elimination Chamber 2026: 7 Things That NEED To Happen

1. LA Knight Springs A Surprise

...L.A Knight.

Again, there's been a lot of talk about WWE going with a multi-man title defence for McIntyre at WrestleMania 42 anyway, so Cody doesn’t necessarily need to win the Chamber bout. Sure, they’d be stepping all over the entire concept of this PLE, but the WWE Title scene is messy as it is and there wouldn’t be significant interest in Cody challenging Drew one-on-one anyway.

Going with a shock troop package like Knight sounds refreshing and deserved given he's had to show incredible patience since his last flirtations with the top of the tree. Drew knows all about that, so he surely wouldn't begrudge seeing his old TNA stablemate getting the rub of that sweet main event spotlight at 'Mania.

WWE will know they can get to the 3/4/5/6-way shenanigans laid out earlier even if somebody like Knight wins this weekend. McIntyre vs. Rhodes vs. Knight vs. Orton vs. Fatu vs. Zayn is one hell of a lineup - it maybe isn't better than a properly developed singles feud for Drew, but it's better than nothing.

Then, the likes of Aleister Black and Trick Williams can sit on the subs bench just incase someone involved gets injured before Las Vegas. That'd be wise, because top liners are dropping like flies right now. Backup plans are important.
