WWE: Eric Bischoff - Sports Entertainment's Most Controversial Figure DVD Review

1. Bischoff Has An Interesting Take On The Monday Night War

By far the most incredible message to be taken from the DVD relates to the conclusion of the 'Monday Night Wars'.

Bischoff's WCW crumbled, unable to exhibit the staying power of Vince McMahon. For Eric, that's not necessarily a bad thing, because he nobly says that neither Ted Turner or himself had the best interests of the industry at heart, whereas Vince McMahon did.

Further to that, he also says that the WWE Network wouldn't exist today if WCW had stuck around. It's stunning to hear statements like this from the man who once promised to put McMahon out of business for good.

His story is one of growing up, maturing and realising what's important in life. Whilst he says he doesn't remember explicitly saying he wanted to put Vince under his boot to crush him, Bischoff is very sure he did at some point.

Sports Entertainment's Most Controversial Figure may be the tale of a WWE friend, but he was an enemy first. When reflecting on that period of his life, Eric Bischoff is candid and honest about his shortcomings.

Eric Bischoff: Sports Entertainment's Most Controversial Figure is released on June 13, 2016. Let us know your thoughts about Bischoff down in the comments section below!
