2. Maverick Spirit Of The 90's Contrasts With Reflective Personality Now

Looking back on his time at the helm of WCW, Eric himself says he didn't see what blatantly needed to be done.

The nWo had created such success for the company, complemented nicely by stars like Sting and Goldberg. Outside of a few exceptions, WCW didn't do a lot to create new stars that they could work with and eventually use to replace those at the top of the card.

That's not something Bischoff felt he had to worry about, although he realises now how big of a mistake that proved to be. In the 1990's, he was on top of the world, a maverick living out the dream of topping the WWF and making millions of dollars.

WWE portray that, but they also make sure to note just how much Bischoff has changed in the years since he was running WCW. He's entirely reflective, more at home in the countryside, occasionally hunting, riding horses and maintaining a real passion for motorcycles.

This comes across as a stark contrast between two distinctly different people, one now more freely able to admit when he's not in control.
