9. The Attitude Era Tag Opens The Show
As much as they're icons of the Diva era, Trish Stratus and Lita looked rusty in front of the live crowd a few weeks ago. Their banter was stiffer than Corey Graves' quiff, and they didn't exactly sell themselves as heroic female heroines to the younger audience. It might be best to get this one out of the way quickly.
Fans in New York will pop when they hear Stratus' and Lita's entrance tracks blaring over the PA. That should be the first thing people see on the pay-per-view, because it'd give everyone a rush of energy that might just set the tone for the rest of the night.
If the match is then a good 10 minutes of solid work, culminating in a star-cementing finish after Trish hits some moves and Lita (possibly) nails a Moonsault, then folks in Uniondale will be happy.
There's no need to kick the arse out of this one. It'd be better for being brief, and there will surely be some interaction that harks back to WrestleMania 22 between Stratus and Mickie James. Alexa Bliss is the star of the show here though, remember that...
