WWE Evolution: 10 Things WWE Got Right

1. Leaving Weapons To The 'Last Woman Standing' Match

Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair in a 'Last Woman Standing' match should have been Evolution's main event.

Their 28-minute epic was the most enticing going into the show, and it was one million times more dramatic than Ronda Rousey vs. Nikki Bella ever had any hope to be. As much as it's true WWE got that wrong, they got something else right: weapons, including kendo sticks, steel chairs, ladders and tables, were left almost exclusively to the real-life best friends.

Even when Sasha Banks, Bayley and Natalya vs. The Riott Squad got violent, they resisted the temptation to belt one another recklessly with weapon shots. That's because Charlotte and Becky needed those props to sell their own heated feud, and sell it they did.

This was another leap forwards for women's wrestling in WWE. It was a brawl to rival the best men can manage, and that'll hopefully convince the McMahon family that performers like Flair and Lynch are capable of doing anything the boys can.
