WWE Evolution: 10 Things WWE Got Right

2. Keeping The Raw Women's Title On Ronda Rousey

Ronda Rousey hasn't been able to match her extraordinary performance at WrestleMania 34 since. That's not to say that singles efforts against Alexa Bliss, Nia Jax and Nikki Bella on pay-per-view have been bad, but they haven't been on the same level. It'll take more than a year in the biz before she's doing that on a consistent basis.

Regardless of her rookie status in pro wrestling, Rousey is the best choice as Raw Women's Champion right now. She's a genuine mainstream star, one WWE can rely on to represent their organisation with aplomb, and her matches share some things in common with the visceral blasts of Brock Lesnar in the men's division.

She had to beat Bella at Evolution.

Nikki's warning post-match that "this isn't over" seems to suggest a rematch is incoming, possibly at Survivor Series or (if WWE are quick) at Crown Jewel. That'll need a little more sizzle than this headliner had though, that's for sure. At least the right woman won.
