WWE Extreme Rules: 10 Matches It Could Set Up For The Future

5. Cesaro vs. Jack Swagger

This one is a bit obvious, but it needs to be taken care of. Who else hates it when WWE drops the ball on a perfectly-sensible feud? Remember when Rhodes Scholars broke up, and there was so much potential for Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow? It lasted about 2 weeks, and fizzled out before they could have a proper match. Tragic. It could go the same way here with Cesaro and Swagger: they€™ve had some short, lame televised matches, not at all indicative of what could be. At Extreme Rules, they€™ve thrown Rob Van Dam into the mix, which postpones the proper match that these guys need to have. Let them have a turn on the mic, citing things about each other from their shared history with Zeb (I know, WWE considers a few days ago ancient history, and doesn€™t like to delve deeper than that). Surely they can find a way to criticize each other based on being a tag team for so long. We already know that Zeb Coulter and Paul Heyman can do great promos, but you have to let these guys get their feet wet too. And then build it up to a big match that feels important. Paul Heyman has great faith in Cesaro, otherwise he wouldn€™t have taken him on. But what if Zeb starts to lose confidence in Swagger, and the match takes on more meaning for the All-American American? If you build to it, they can wrestle!
