WWE Extreme Rules 2014: 10 Match Types We Most Want To See

4. Last Man Standing Match

When no other contest is decisive enough, WWE will call upon the last man standing match in order to provide a true winner to a long running feud. With a last man standing match, anything goes, and the only way to win is to make sure your opponent stays down for the count of ten. Over the years these last man standing matches have gotten very bloody, and it's a rarity of a match that only occurs under special circumstances. But with the right combatants, and the right amount of hype, a last man standing match can be something really unique and special that can become the selling point for an entire pay per view. Since Daniel Bryan won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania, it's a given that he will be defending the title at Extreme Rules. Whether it's a triple threat rematch, or a rematch against Triple H, there's no doubt that the match will have to be cranked up, and a last man standing match would do the trick. In fact, if it became a triple threat match, it would be the first ever triple threat last man standing match. WWE loves making history, and that would be an interesting switch up on the standard last man standing format.
