Time to dispense with a popular opinion: not every single pay-per-view has to end with a confetti-dropping babyface victory. Sometimes, it's nice to have the rug pulled from beneath your feet and wonder how a genuinely likeable good guy will put things right the next night.

This Ziggler vs. Rollins story is perfect for that kind of storytelling, and it could just facilitate the return of another notoriously well-liked star.

At the end of Extreme Rules, there should be two prevailing messages. Firstly, Drew McIntyre almost cost Dolph the Intercontinental Title. Secondly, Rollins would have won had he not been outnumbered by sneering heels who think they're better than he is. Enter one Dean Ambrose, the kind of lunatic ideal to save the day.

Hints have been dropped by Seth in interviews that Dean will be back before too long. Even if he's unable to work lengthy singles matches quite yet, Ambrose's return pre-SummerSlam would really help the ongoing Rollins vs. Ziggler and McIntyre feud, and it'd also allow Dean to turn heel on his ex-Shield running buddy.

Then, WWE can pluck two feuds from the one story by splitting Dolph and Drew down the road too.
