WWE Extreme Rules 2019: 5 Most Likely Outcomes

2. Brock Lesnar Won't Show Up

Paul Heyman may be changing things up on Monday Night Raw behind the scenes, but in front of the camera, it's very much same old, same old for the advocate of 'The Beast'.

Strutting down to the ring, he promised us that Brock Lesnar would cash in his Money In The Bank contract on either Seth Rollins or Kofi Kingston, before suggesting that it might not happen at all.

Undoubtedly a more on-the-nose approach than usual, it was clearly making reference to the fact that Lesnar tends to come and go as he pleases, but at the end of the day, WWE has pulled the whole bait-and-switch with his Money In The Bank contract far too much in such a short period of time for fans to even to want to buy into it again.

Dangling Lesnar in front of us with such uncertainty is clearly an attempt to ensure that the intrigued viewers tune in, but it would be a lot more effective if Lesnar winning either the WWE or Universal Championship was actually an appealing idea.

However, even if you could overlook all of that, the fact of the matter is that he isn't cashing in. We're on the cusp of SummerSlam, and WWE has two incredibly popular champions right now - both of whom will more than likely walk into that event with their titles. With that in mind, the creative team can't afford to make Lesnar look like a chump again with another failed cash-in attempt.
