WWE Extreme Rules 2019: 5 Most Likely Outcomes

1. No Other Titles Will Change Hands

Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch may be able to mask the predictability of their title retentions by the fact that they will both take place in the one match, but they won't be the only champions retaining.

It might be boring to bring up SummerSlam again but, the fact of the matter is that with the Biggest Party of the Summer on the horizon, the-powers-that-be will be doing their utmost to ensure that they have the strongest possible card and, in order for that to happen, all of the champions must retain at Extreme Rules.

Like Rollins, Kingston is one of the most popular champions in the company, so you can rest assured that the current WWE Champion will be carrying his belt into SummerSlam. The same could be said for Tag Team Champions Daniel Bryan and Rowan.

While you could argue that U.S. Champion Ricochet is the most at risk here, simply because he's going up against a reinvigorated AJ Styles (who he has already defeated in recent weeks), it would be senseless to have him lose the gold so soon after winning it and, if anything, another victory could build towards a bigger, better, final bout at SummerSlam. Similarly, it wouldn't make any sense for Drew Gulak to lose his recently-won Cruiserweight Championship back to former champ Tony Nese.

Finally, if the SmackDown Women's Championship or Raw Tag Team Championships were to change hands, that would mean the bland programs between Bayley and Alexa Bliss and The Revival and The Usos would likely continue into SummerSlam and, even if the matches are good, nobody really needs to see that.
