WWE Extreme Rules 2022: 10 Things That Must Happen

1. Matt Riddle Wins

Daniel Cormier's role as special guest enforcer for the 'Fight Pit' is a bit meh to most pro wrestling fans. Sure, his UFC background adds legitimacy, but it definitely feels like a last-minute decision to try and stir up more interest in a match that didn't really need it.

Oh well, so long as Riddle wins in the end.

He should. A victory over Rollins would help establish the 'Pit' as his match type. Then, longer-term, Matt challenging heels to meet him in the 'Fight Pit' could get the same responses as The Undertaker announcing a 'Casket'/'Buried Alive' bout. That's surely WWE's hope, anyway.

Rollins looks like he'll spin out of this feud into a US Title program vs. Bobby Lashley. He doesn't need to beat Riddle for that to work. The pressing issue here is maintaining Matt's street cred as a dangerous fighter who won't take any sh*t.
