WWE Extreme Rules 2022: 10 Things That Must Happen
9. Butch Pins Giovanni Vinci/Ludwig Kaiser
Butch wins! Butch wins! Butch wins!
If Michael Cole yells that following a hot six-man "Good Old-Fashioned Donnybrook" match, then this writer will be rather chuffed. It's unlikely that Sheamus will take the Intercontinental Title from Gunther on Friday's SmackDown, but his 'Brawling Brutes' should score the win on pay-per-view.
Why not? Surely that's why Imperium boys Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci are there in the first place? Either one of those lads could stare at the lights for Butch (toss him another bone, WWE) and help bring one of Sheamus' backup brigade even closer to relevance in their own right.
Pete Dunne is a bloody excellent pro wrestler, and it'd be awesome if the company could pivot out of Sheamus vs. Gunther into Butch challenging the big Austrian for his midcard prize. Christ, can you imagine the matches both men could have against one another before the end of the year?!
They'd be special.
