Result: The Brutes score the win after Sheamus takes Vinci out with a Brogue Kick (17:50).

Rating: This was a great way to start the show and get the crowd fired up - a knockdown, drag-out brawl that delivered exactly what was advertised. Nothing more, nothing less.

This had a mildly unique layout for a No DQ match - Imperium initially shied away from using weapons, instead relying on their in-ring prowess, yet betrayed this as they became increasingly desperate later on.

The pacing was great, it hit hard, and the right team probably won, setting the stage for a possibly final bout between Sheamus and Gunther.

For all the justified criticism the modern Extreme Rules events get for being sanitised and not-at-all extreme, this was a hell of a way to prove otherwise from the outset. That Celtic Cross through the table was something else. 8/10
