WWE Extreme Rules - Ranked From Worst To Best
4. 2014 - Beware The Scary Children
I don't know how I feel about WWE Extreme Rules 2014. On one hand, it is a strangely fun show. Hornswoggle and El Torito put on a blinder of a pre-show in the first (and only) WeeLC match, a bout that took the inherent offensiveness of the joke and pretty much blew everyone away. Cesaro continued building on his WrestleMania momentum by defeating Jack Swagger and Rob Van Dam in a three-way elimination match.
The match of the night saw The Shield defeat a re-united Evolution in an absolute barnstormer of a six-man, with the battle moving from the ring to the crowd and everywhere in between. The finality of The Shield's victory took many by surprise, with the trio looking strong and practically becoming made men in the process. The main event saw Daniel Bryan knee Kane through a flaming table, defending his newly-won WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the process.
On the other hand, Bray Wyatt did beat John Cena in a cage match thanks to a child singing in the door way. I'm big on Wyatt, but this was the first in what would become a worryingly-consistent line in ridiculous horror movie match finishes. Wyatt went from Sister Abigailing Daniel Bryan into the barrier on the outside to relying on singing children and Dean Ambrose's inability to work out electronics.
