3. Extreme Rules WWE Championship Match: Daniel Bryan (c) Vs Kane
It doesn't bode well for Daniel Bryan's reign as WWE Champion that his first major title defence is only considered the third most important match at Extreme Rules. It was vital that WWE got behind Bryan in a big way, they couldn't allow him to become a Rey Mysterio or Chris Benoit, underdog Champions who quickly lost their shine when they got the belt. Was Kane really the best choice to facilitate Bryan's status as Champion? Absolutely not, Kane was barely even a wrestler just a few months ago, acting as more of a character. Ten years ago we saw Benoit lumbered with having to defend the title against Kane, you saw what that did for his reign, now Bryan treads the same path. The Extreme Rules stipulation could make things interesting, but it won't be anything beyond the usual chair to the back or kendo stick. It won't be a horrible match, Bryan and Kane share a chemistry, they also have bags of experience. It will be entertaining, but it won't necessarily be a match you are talking about a year from now. The winner will be Bryan. He is the big project for 2014, Kane is merely a process to put Bryan over. Winner And Still WWE Champion: Daniel Bryan
