WWE Fans Rebel, Chant "We Want Truth" During Raw Matches (WWE News)

WWE Raw's Tulsa crowd made it known that they want R-Truth back.

With last night's Raw being the first WWE show since R-Truth announced that the company would not be renewing his contract, those in attendance at Tulsa, Oklahoma's BOK Center made sure to show their unhappiness with this decision.

Throughout the Raw broadcast, there were several instances of that Tulsa crowd breaking out into "We Want Truth" chants, with the below X post just one example of that.

Not just did the Money in the Bank qualifier between Stephanie Vaquer, Liv Morgan, and Ivy Nile feature those R-Truth chants, but so too did the opening promo segment between CM Punk and Sami Zayn, the tag match pitting the War Raiders against JD McDonagh and Finn Balor, and there were also some chants during the main event of CM Punk vs. AJ Styles vs. El Grande Americano.

The Tulsa crowd didn't just verbally let WWE know that they wanted R-Truth, but there were numerous signs in support of the real-life Ron Killings.

Likewise, it wasn't just fans showing support for R-Truth yesterday, for Rhea Ripley posted a clip to TikTok of her doing her make-up earlier in the day, all while wearing an R-Truth t-shirt.

Similarly, Dominik Mysterio was seen on Raw sporting a Carlito t-shirt, with Carly announcing that WWE won't be renewing his contract when it's up in two weeks.

WWE's 2025 Releases

While both R-Truth and Carlito technically weren't released - their contracts instead being allowed to expire - they're two more wrestlers to add to the list of names WWE has opted to let go in 2025 so far. And in the time since Truth and Carlito made their own announcements, last night saw Valhalla/Sarah Logan announce that she is another who WWE won't be re-upping once her current deal is up.

With those latest three, that makes it 32 wrestlers who WWE has 'released' this year, with it unknown if any further departures are planned by the market leader.

The first release of 2025 was back in January, when NXT's Duke Hudson quietly exited the company. Since then, there was a round of cuts in February that included the likes of Sonya Deville, the Authors of Pain, and Cedric Alexander, and that was followed by the usual post-WrestleMania cuts last month, with Braun Strowman, Dakota Kai, and Shayna Baszler amongst the main roster talent let go at that point. Those May cuts also included several NXT stars whose 30-day non-compete clause expired only a matter of days ago, meaning they're now free to pop up in another promotion.

Despite some of 2025's releases being somewhat surprising, none are as jaw-dropping as R-Truth not being renewed, with this said to have come as a huge shock to those within WWE.
