8. The Ridiculous 80s-Style Graphics & Sounds
The WWE is trying to promote itself as a more family-friendly brand of entertainment these days, but did they really need to create a pay-per-view modeled from Hot Wheels? It's a silly name for an event, cemented by some laughably retro computer graphics which will instantly remind long-time wrestling fans of the campier themed events from the 80s and 90s like, for example, WCW's Bash at the Beach. It didn't help that, every time the Fast Lane logo appeared on the screen, it was accompanied by a cheesy "vroooom!" sound effect, one which might've sounded cool to the 8-year-olds watching, but to everyone else just sounded dumb. Thankfully the array of flashy computer graphics the WWE hurl at audiences are pretty much white noise by this point, so it's not too difficult to ignore or even miss.
