It's the job of the commentary team to try and infuse the action with plenty of drama and excitement, regardless of whether or not anyone actually cares about it. Even so, JBL, Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler could barely pretend that they cared much about the mediocre card, resorting to cracking terrible jokes and basically making it advisable for fans to just press the mute button on their remote controls. Jerry Lawler was the most prolific offender, cracking terrible jokes about the Big Show's size ("Big Show's not really bald, he's just taller than his hair", and "When he was born, his mother had a C, D, E and F-section), Paige's attractiveness ("If she were a hamburger she'd be McGorgeous") and his own lack of personal fitness ("When they said 'exercise', I thought they said 'extra fries'"). As much of a legend as The King is, lame quips like this just made an already low-energy show even more of a chore to sit through.
Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes).
