WWE Fastlane 2016: 10 Things We Learned

5. Charlotte Remains WWE Divas Champion

As aforementioned in a previous entry, there's a strong chance that either Becky Lynch or Sasha Banks will be Charlotte's challenger come WrestleManiaa. Realistically, it'll be Banks, because Becky has already received her title bout at the Royal Rumble. This meant that Brie Bella was little more than a time killing exercise for the champion come Fastlane. Sadly, the match was overshadowed by WWE's apparent need to have the Divas emulate their male counterparts. Charlotte spends an awful lot of time borrowing tricks from her father, 'Nature Boy' Ric Flair. Then on the opposite side, Brie appeared to be a pale female imitation of her now-retired husband, Daniel Bryan. She was even wearing his 'Mania XXX kick pads. Following almost 13 minutes of action, Charlotte was the one who left with her hand raised. The match felt rather routine, and actually served to overstay its welcome a tad. In contrast to the quick-moving women's tag-team match earlier in the show, this was much more deliberate and slower paced. Could this be Brie's last ever crack at the WWE Divas Title?
