WWE Fastlane 2017: 6 Shocks That Could Happen

4. Sami Zayn Beats Samoa Joe

If Seth Rollins hadn't been injured by a fired-up Samoa Joe on the January 30 episode of Raw, he realistically would have beaten Joe at Fastlane before setting his sights on Triple H in time for WrestleMania 33.

Due to Seth being shelved, an underdog Sami Zayn has been thrust into the spotlight instead, and he may actually benefit from the misfortune of his peer; it may be a cynical point of view to hold, but Joe doesn't mean as much to the 'Mania story as he would have against a healthy Rollins. Therefore, WWE may take the opportunity to provide a shock at Fastlane and have Zayn upend the former NXT Champion in style.

Such a result isn't exactly out of the question, because a Samoa Joe loss to Sami is something Rollins could use during promos aimed at 'The Game'; lambasting his ex-mentor for trying to recapture the magic he shared with him, a supercharged Seth would reason that he has Triple H running scared because his hitman can't get the job done.

An easy way of doing this would be to have Seth's music play, something that would provide an instant distraction to Joe.
