Behold Fastlane's ultimate sh*t the bed moment.

Stripping that Money In The Bank briefcase away from Damian Priest would directly harm his chances of cracking into the main event picture and it’d damage the gimmick too. MITB is already hanging by a thread as a must-see ongoing concern in 2023, but at least give the guy holding it a fighting chance.

Picture the scene: Seth Rollins is injured following a crippling 'Last Man Standing' war vs. Nakamura. He's retained, albeit barely, and is struggling to even walk. Suddenly, Judgment Day's music hits, Priest comes strolling out with the case, demands his contractually-obligated title match, then...loses.

What a bummer that'd be. It'd set Priest and JD back months, and those already doubting MITB's value to the current WWE product would be shouting from rooftops about how it should be scrapped. Surely creative wouldn't do this?!
