WWE Fastlane 2023: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True

3. Drew McIntyre Helps Them Win?!

Wait, what?! Time for an explanation.

Something interesting is bubbling away beneath the surface with Drew McIntyre on Raw. He’s been toying with people by skirting a fine line between good and bad, and WWE might want to further that ‘Loose Cannon’ vibe by having him nonsensically help Cody and Jey become tag champs.

Later, McIntyre would reason that he’s letting Rhodes find out first hand how backstabbing a Bloodline boy can be ('Come find me when things go sour!'). Here's the problem: It’d be a real stretch to try that, especially when Drew has been anything but courteous to Uso. Explaining away helping him win gold on Raw would be tough; even if it feeds into the Cody story.

Being honest, McIntyre shouldn't be anywhere near that Undisputed Tag Title match at Fastlane. His current character arc is perfect for TV, but it isn't worthwhile having him poke a nose into PLE bouts quite yet.
