Key word there.

IYO SKY could really be doing with Fastlane being WWE's means to bring the curtain down on creaking challengers like Asuka and Charlotte Flair, at least for a while. The Damage CTRL member's reign is an excellent opportunity to let others thrive, so why not pivot out of this into feuds with the likes of Shotzi, Alba Fyre, Isla Dawn or someone like that?

Creative has time on their side heading through the end of 2023 into Royal Rumble and WrestleMania season. Basically, they can turn IYO's title run into something special before she inevitably splits from Bayley and Dakota Kai full time for a clash against the former.

Fans have already witnessed some slick exchanges between Asuka and SKY on TV, so it's clear there's chemistry between them. Charlotte, as usual, has been shoved into a situation just because of who she is. If that sounds harsh, then try to picture the SmackDown women's division being dominated by Flair again.

Nope to that.
