WWE Glasgow Live - 10 Interesting Observations

9. Damien Sandow Is Back In The Robe And Rolls Up Heath Slater

When I was at the No Mercy UK pay per-view in 1999, I didn€™t realise till I got there that there was another show in the US that night, so we got Gillberg against Tiger Ali Singh at the start. This match with Slater and Sandow reminded me of that night in Manchester.

Heath Slater has a gig as a jobber for as long as he wants it. He still gets a reaction, his music is great and he€™s as delusional as his character should be. Then €˜Hallelujah€™ hit the sound system and out came Damien Sandow, complete with robe as The Intellectual Saviour Of The Masses.

It€™s crazy to think that 9 months ago, he was getting the biggest pops on every show as Miz€™s stunt double, Damien Mizdow. Then he had the short run as Macho Mandow and now he€™s back as a babyface version of his original scholar type character and the fans in Glasgow didn€™t know what to make of it.

At a November 2015 house show, the last thing you expect to see are these two in match against one another. Luckily, it lasted under two minutes, Sandow rolled up Heath Slater and they got the easiest job of the night.
