WWE Glasgow Live - 10 Interesting Observations

7. Glaswegian€™s Don€™t Know How To React To Del Rio

When big Del Boy Rio returned with Uncle Zebekiah at Hell In A Cell, it was a bizarre moment and an odd partnership. Two weeks on, it€™s just as odd. Zeb didn€™t make the trip to the UK with his scooter so Mr El Patron was on his lonesome but he did have his Mexamerica flag to wave about the place.

Alberto was up against Fandango, in the one region (The UK) where Fandango is still over and his Top 20 UK Pop Hit makes people happy. It was a pretty competitive match for the most part with good back and forth action and some decent near falls. Del Rio got the victory to retain his US title but the crowd in Glasgow just weren€™t sure how to react to the Mexican star.

Firstly, Alberto came out to his babyface remix music which baffled some of the crowd and there were points where he seemed to be trying to get the crowd behind him. Once he left the ring, he went round the ringside area and even bantered with some kids at ringside, picking up a replica belt and comparing it to his actual US title.

In closing, I€™m not sure exactly what the Alberto Del Rio character is supposed to be or meant to represent but for the money they€™re paying him whether it€™s half a million or $1.4million, they need to get it clear quickly or sadly, he€™ll become just another guy on the roster.
