WWE Great Balls Of Fire: 8 Things WWE Got Right

6. Booking Big Cass To Squash Enzo Amore

Things couldn't have been booked differently between these former tag buddies. Had WWE programmed Enzo Amore to pull off an upset victory or even look competitive against the guy who once had his back, then Big Cass would've been dead in the water before his singles push even got going.

A squash was the only option, and it was handled with grace. Amore willingly bounced around like a pinball for his ex-partner, allowing Cass to look like a dominating monster with the potential to take Raw by storm. Had things been written any other way, the match could've been a complete disaster (akin to Shad vs. JTG at Extreme Rules 2010) instead of a valuable tool to enhance both guys.

Enzo doesn't lose face by succumbing to the assault of Big Cass, so this was win-win. It's rare that a squash can be so effective in wrestling these days, but this was a prime example of using one at the right time. No complaints here: Cass needed to look strong.
