WWE Greatest Royal Rumble: 10 Things That Must Happen
2. WWE Offer Up More Than A Token Trophy
When WWE's Spanish YouTube channel unveiled the ornate Greatest Royal Rumble trophy, it suddenly hit home that the winner won't be given anything else. That's it: a cup. No WWE/Universal Title shot, no title belt, no cash prize. A trophy, and one that (whilst gorgeous) will become a trinket at best.
On Raw/SmackDown then, it wouldn't be too hard for creative to come up with something, anything that might turn the Greatest Rumble into more than a one-off Network special fans outside Saudi Arabia will view as a souped-up house show with cameras.
Why not gift the winner that coveted #30 spot in next year's (January) Royal Rumble? Or, what about touting that the victor is indeed number one contender for the World Title on their brand at SummerSlam?
If there's nothing other than a trophy on offer, then we hope Bret Hart shows up out of nowhere, throws a tantrum and smashes it just like he did at WrestleMania IV when Bad New Brown did the dirty on him.
