WWE Greatest Royal Rumble: 10 Things That Must Happen
10. The Ladder Match Opens The Show
PWInsider are reporting that Bobby Lashley will be a last-minute addition to the Intercontinental Title Ladder match. That'd make it a five-way rather than the announced four-way, and would also gives Lashley a meaningful spot soon after his WWE comeback.
Regardless of whether Lashley is added or not though, the Ladder stunt show needs to open the show.
The Miz, Seth Rollins and Finn Bálor proved how well-suited to the curtain jerking role they are at WrestleMania 34. That's not an insult. Look at how hot the New Orleans crowd were for all three; toss Joe (and, to a lesser extent, Lashley) in there and you have a barnstormer that'll set the place alight.
Next week's Greatest Royal Rumble card is going to be a busy one. With 10 matches scheduled, it's important that the Intercontinental crew don't get hidden away in the middle of the pack somewhere. Give them the same focus they got at 'Mania.
