Offering up a token trophy is a missed opportunity for WWE...

A mere 89 days after January's Royal Rumble, WWE will present the "Greatest" one at Saudi Arabia's massive King Abdullah Sports City Stadium on 27 April.

The card is stacked with matches like Triple H vs. John Cena, The Undertaker vs. Rusev (with the old Casket stipulation), Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns in a Steel Cage and AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura. On top of that, both the Intercontinental and United States Titles will be on the line, the Raw/SmackDown Tag-Team belts are to be contested and a huge, first ever 50-man Rumble acts as the centrepiece.

WWE are going all out for this one, with the express aim of kicking off the promotion's 10-year partnership with Saudi Vision 2030 nicely. Away from all the hype, it's a glorified house show - but one that actually matters.

It's on the Network, comes hot on the heels of WrestleMania 34 and, given the card and build, has some clear implications going forwards. So, what must WWE do in order to make the Greatest Royal Rumble live up to that name?

Quite a lot actually...
