WWE Greatest Royal Rumble: 10 Things They Got Right

1. Booking Braun Strowman As The Winner

First of all, it would have been super-sweet to see Daniel Bryan crown his WWE comeback with a Greatest Royal Rumble win. It really would have, and few deserve success more than the humble, hard-working Bryan does.

Braun Strowman is one of the few.

WWE were smart to book him as the winner. There's a pre-existing issue between Bryan and Big Cass, so neither of them necessarily needed to win. By contrast, Braun isn't doing too much on Raw at the moment, and, all going well, this victory will give him some direction on the brand.

Strowman has become the premier big man in the promotion. He's someone Vince McMahon must see dollar signs in, he has the potential to star in outside-the-ring projects (there's a WWE Studios movie in his future, for sure) and is someone well-worth taking care of as a credible threat.

The Rumble win is indicative of WWE's faith in what Braun is doing. It came across almost as a "thank you" for his solid work since crashing the singles scene in 2016.
