Eric Bischoff thinks Vince McMahon is only returning to WWE in a bid to execute his own personal "exit strategy".

The former WCW boss astutely pointed out that Vince's rushed retirement probably meant McMahon has unfinished business with his career - the 77-year-old, who has faced multiple allegations of sexual misconduct, hastily announced his resignation from the company in July 2022.

Now, according to the Wall Street Journal, Vince is back on a day-to-day schedule with WWE. According to Bisch (on 'After 83 Weeks'), McMahon is "coming back and making this move to aggressively pursue a sale" for the promotion he built into a pro wrestling empire from the mid-1980s onwards.

Eric called "the journey" a "fascinating" one, and it hasn't escaped his attention that Vince is coming back during WrestleMania season either. However, Bischoff doesn't think the praise Triple H's version of creative has been getting from most corners of the wrestling globe has fanned flames of jealousy in McMahon; he just doesn't think his old rival-turned-boss thinks that way these days.

Is Vince's return part of a bid to retire on his own terms?
