WWE Hamilton Ontario Live - 10 Interesting Observations

1. Dean Ambrose Showed That He Can Definitely Be A Main Eventer

For the main event, Dean Ambrose took on Luke Harper in a No Disqualification Match. It was the battle of the guys in jeans. Has Harper main evented a lot of house shows in singles matches? Probably not. It shows that WWE has to work on developing heels because, with all due respect to Harper, he did not get main event level heel heat. He did get booed and kept on doing ridiculous poses to get more heat, but it wasn't like he was the best heel out there. Ambrose was loved. He immediately went for weapons. Every time he tried to use them, Harper would toss them aside and it would upset the fans. Eventually they got a hold of some kendo sticks as well as chairs. Ambrose brought out a table to a huge ovation because the crowd was chanting for tables. Unfortunately for Ambrose, it was Harper that put him through a table with a Powerbomb. Later in the match, Ambrose put Harper through a table with an elbow drop off the top rope. When it looked like Ambrose was going to win, the run-ins started. The New Day ran out to attack Ambrose. Then Cesaro/Kidd showed up for the save. Rusev was next, so Ryback came out too. It was all pretty random because it's not like the heels were associated with Harper, but it was a fun way to get everybody involved and the crowd loved it. Ambrose got the clean win with the Dirty Deeds DDT. That was no surprise. The show clocked in at 2 hours and 35 minutes, which is typical for a WWE live event. Post match, Ambrose greeted some fans sitting around ringside as is typical after the last match of the night. The good guys won every match and the fans left happy after Ambrose's win. That's how house shows are. Despite the lack of really big names, it was still a lot of fun. Any time WWE is in your area, you should check it out because they always do a good job of delivering entertainment the whole family can enjoy.
