When Wade Barrett won the 2015 version of the 'King Of The Ring' tournament, his year promised so much. Instead of becoming a bigger star by virtue of winning the tourney, the Englishman has been mired in a silly gimmick. Hampered by haphazard booking, 'King' Barrett comes across as a royal fool, rather than a mega star. The man himself has even mentioned his WWE woes in interviews. Recently, Barrett has been aligned with Sheamus on television. This would appear to be somewhat of a step in the right direction. The Irishman is the current holder of the 'Money In The Bank' briefcase. This suggests he's in line for a run with the WWE World Heavyweight Title at some point in the near future. There are worse spots to be in than associated with him. Nonetheless, at Hell In A Cell, Barrett was brought crashing back down to reality. He was the man pinned in the 6-man tag-team encounter on the 'Kickoff' show. Following a Superkick from Dolph Ziggler and a Giant Swing from Cesaro, Neville hit the Red Arrow on him and pinned him. Is this now Wade Barrett's standing in WWE, to be the whipping boy?
