WWE Hell In A Cell 2016: 11 Things WWE Got Right

I've read a few reviews of this match in the aftermath and one of the prevailing feelings seems to be that Charlotte won the title because WWE likes to have people lose in their home towns. Sure, this may have happened on a number of occasions, but the reasons for having Charlotte win the title are numerous, not to mention convincing.

Since arriving on the main roster in the summer of 2015, Charlotte is 13-0 on PPV when competing on her own. Sure, she has lost a couple of tag matches along the way, but when the Nature Girl is competing in singles competition she is unbeatable on the big stage. She has defeated Paige, Natalya, Sasha, Becky Lynch along the way, proving herself dominant in the process.

There is far more money in continuing this streak than there is in Sasha winning the first female Hell in a Cell match in her home town. If built correctly the streak can become a powerful tool in the women's division going forward. A win for Charlotte was the right decision, all issues with a hot potato title aside.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
