Bayley defeated Dana Brooke in the second match of the night, with the WWE's most lovable babyface pulling out a decent match against the vastly-inferior Brooke. I mean inferior in terms of wrestling skill of course, as Dana's character work has generally been on-point. She's a work in progress, but the progress is clear for all to see.

Bayley is another example of the main roster being somewhat damaging for NXT icons however. She seems like such a guaranteed success that little work has been put into establishing her on the main roster, WWE choosing instead to plonk her there and expect the same sort of results.

Even so, with Charlotte getting the win in the main event the decision to have Bayley win here was a no-brainer. I mean, the decision to book a one-on-one Bayley vs. Dana Brooke match on PPV meant that the decision to have Bayley win was a no-brainer.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
