After a red (almost as red as the Cell) hot match like the Raw Tag-Team Title one was, WWE's usual formatting calls for a little cool down bout to give fans a chance to replenish energy before another anticipated showdown. Not on Sunday night it wasn't. They went straight into another testy affair between AJ Styles and Samoa Joe.

The lack of filler matches made the card an easier watch from start to finish.

That wouldn't have been the case had WWE needlessly stuck Kevin Owens vs. Bobby Lashley or another unwanted 'attraction' on to the eat up valuable minutes. For example, imagine how many people would have been heading to check out merch, to relieve their bladders or fetch a hot dog had 'Constable' Corbin called out Finn Bálor?

It was a slight surprise that neither match happened. Without them, the eight matches (seven on the main show) that did were given more time to breathe, get over and draw the live crowd in. Besides, those lengthy hype vids are ideal for pee breaks.
